A different emirate — a different rulebook.
Abu Dhabi residences are governed by ADDC, Estidama and their own security regime. The design discipline is the same; the compliance path is not.
Automation in Abu Dhabi
Smart home automation in Abu Dhabi covers villas and apartments across Saadiyat Island, Al Reem Island, Yas Island, Al Raha Beach, Khalifa City and the Corniche. The engineering discipline mirrors Dubai — a wired backbone, circadian light, air, acoustics, water and sleep authored at pre-MEP — but the compliance path differs: ADDC governs supply and metering, Estidama's Pearl Rating System shapes lighting and energy strategy, and security scope falls under the emirate's own regime rather than SIRA.
Estidama and lighting strategy
The Pearl Rating System shapes lighting power density, control strategy and metering. A well-designed circadian scheme satisfies it comfortably; a scheme designed without reference to it often does not.
Coastal exposure on the islands
Saadiyat, Al Reem, Yas and Al Raha Beach are marine environments. External devices, shading motors and pool plant are specified to marine grade, with the equipment core held inland, conditioned and filtered.
Villa scale inland
Khalifa City, Mohammed Bin Zayed City and the inland compounds bring large family villas with majlis, guest and staff wings. Circuit counts and zoning favour a bus backbone with clearly separated household domains.
Support presence
Residences here are frequently sold systems supported from Dubai. Governance must include defined response arrangements for the emirate, documented commissioning and a project file the principal owns.
Compliance is designed in, not discovered on site.
- ADDC governs electrical supply, metering and connection; Estidama Pearl requirements shape lighting load and control strategy.
- Security scope — CCTV, access control, alarms — falls under Abu Dhabi's own regime rather than Dubai's SIRA.
- Island and master-community developments apply their own design approval for elevations and external lighting.
- Apartment works on Al Reem and Al Raha require an owners' association NOC and a contractor method statement.
- AKMZA is headquartered in Dubai Silicon Oasis and commissions across Abu Dhabi with documented response arrangements.

What principals ask about Abu Dhabi.
Why Abu Dhabi residences are commissioned with AKMZA.
A residence in Abu Dhabi deserves an authored environment rather than a hardware package — light, air, sound, water and sleep designed as one discipline, engaged at pre-MEP alongside your architect.
A design practice, not an installer
AKMZA is a longevity and human-biology practice — the only one in the region that authors high-end home automation as an environment, not a hardware package. Engaged at pre-MEP alongside your architect, never bolted on after the finishes are chosen.
Luxury home automation, engineered for the Gulf
Every specification is calibrated to 45 °C summers, coastal humidity, sand events and the seven emirates' NOC and SIRA rules. Consumer-grade hardware fails in Dubai; ours is rack-mounted, wired-first, and rated for the climate it lives in.
Reference-tier systems, chosen by performance
KNX for the building backbone, Lutron HomeWorks with Ketra for circadian light, Crestron where AV leads. Specified last — after the residence is understood — never by margin. A bespoke integration, not a catalogue.
The six Longevity pillars, authored as one
Circadian Light · Air & Temperature · Sound & Acoustics · Water · Sleep · Intelligent Integration. Modern smart home automation done to a biological standard — the environment you occupy is measurably calmer, cleaner and quieter than the street it sits on.
Twenty-year governance, not a warranty card
Every commission ships with an ETS project file, a lifecycle plan and annual re-calibration. The bus is specified for the building's life; the interface layer is deliberately replaceable. You are never locked to us — or to any single vendor's roadmap.
